Of course no change

I remember watching a documentary where a Google employee felt disenchanted with the use of technology.

He felt we were overusing it at great cost.

So he wrote an essay and shared it with all his colleagues.

The colleagues loved it!

They heaped praise on him and shared it around.

It was received as well as it could have been.

But he was shocked to find that the very next day, everything and everyone went back to normal.

It was like his essay was completely forgotten.

In the movie Jerry Maguire, Jerry gets a standing ovation in the lobby for his mission statement and then gets fired immediately after because of it.

Muriel was shocked to find the tiger ate her even though she spent 30 mins politely asking him not to beforehand.

There comes a point where it’s futile to get angry at the world and it’s better to accept it for what it is.
