My cousin needs help moving and I offered my brother’s services.
Which is always a problematic situation in my eyes. For the following reasons:
My brother doesn’t appreciate being signed up for things by other people.
I don’t know what else is on my brother’s plate right now.
It damages my brother’s relationship with my cousin if my cousin acts as the messenger and my brother gets angry.
I think the solution is just a simple rephrasing.
Moving away from:
“Peter will do it”
Toward
“Ask Peter”
