The finger hovers over the off button.
“But what if someone needs to ring me to save their life? Or what if someone close to me dies, I would want to know right away.”
“Ok I’ll just put it on silent”
A few moments later (said in a French accent a la Spongebob)…
Buzz!
Concentration broken
Buzz!
“No, come on now ignore it and focus”
Buzz!
Curiosity piqued.
Buzz!
“Ok maybe I’ll just check the lock screen to see a preview of the messages”
“Oh the new Marvel movie trailer is out, oh I’ll just watch this one video”
And the day has been sacrificed to the social media sites.
