Frederico Macheda is not known by many but a legend in the eyes of Man United fans.
He had his 15 minutes of fame when Man United desperately needed a win and the great strikers of Rooney, Ronaldo, and Tevez could not for the life of them put the ball in the back of the net.
Then up steps Frederico and scores the all important goal that later everyone agrees was crucial to winning that year’s premier league.
Macheda never took off after that. That seemed to be his peak but he’s a shining example of how football is a team sport and everyone’s contribution matters.
