Do you enjoy being here? The answer to this question should be obvious in the non verbals! Are they coming in with a smile on their face, greeting everyone? Or are they giving feeble excuses not to be there? Are they cracking jokes? Or are they bolting out the door as soon as possible?

NewsTalk v C103
C103 called people and recorded the interview live. NewsTalk had the interviewees come in and record the interview in the studio the day before it aired. I'm sure there are many logistical questions behind the scenes but the final product from NewsTalk was much better. Because both of the speakers were beside high quality microphones … Continue reading NewsTalk v C103
Life goes on
The good times pass, the bad times pass. The world moves fast in the working world. The world moves slow in the park. The younger generation never ceases to surprise the older generation with how big they've gotten since they saw them last. Life, it goes on. Control, effort, and blame
I think avoiding frustration in sport is all around control, effort, and blame. What's within our control?Let's respond to challenges with increased effort. And blame is not productive mid game.

Dialled in
As soon as the meeting went to the person dialing in via zoom the level of respect and attention dropped.Instead of making eye contact and at least pretending to be interested, the meeting attendees blatantly whipped out their phones or typed away on their laptops. It was almost as if it wasn't a human talking … Continue reading Dialled in
Internal v external opponent
Which is harder to face the internal opponent or the external one? I think it's got to be the internal one. The internal opponent can access the deep dark recesses of our mind that holds the trauma. And if the internal opponent feels like the present is starting to resemble the trauma then it flicks … Continue reading Internal v external opponent
Cliffhanger endings
Are they an artistic get out of jail free card or brilliant story telling? I think the answer lies in the eye of the beholder. But also I would say a cliffhanger ending between episodes is a great way to create tension in the audience. But a cliffhanger ending for a one off movie runs … Continue reading Cliffhanger endings
