Inbetweeners formula
I think the success of the Inbetweeners lay in their pursuit of women and in their disastrous attempts. I think where the Inbetweeners 2 film fell down was that it branched away from that successful formula and instead focused on the mystery of finding Jane in Australia and what's more, far too much time on … Continue reading Inbetweeners formula
Categorical v dimensional
Categorical v dimensional. One is black and white thinking the other is shades of grey. One makes the world easy to understand but can get you into trouble the other makes the world more complicated but makes you infinitely wiser.
Frank’s redemption
(continued from yesterday's post) Frank was working the next day and as he walked in to start his shift he spotted Lisa on the tills. She had no make up on, which was unusual for her and it made Frank wonder - was she expecting more tears today? It felt weird to see her sitting … Continue reading Frank’s redemption
Frank’s compassion
(continued from yesterday's post) So there she was crying her eyes out over some fruit on the floor. It was ridiculous, it was just a couple of oranges. Ok let's go back to sports. That message was left on read for 24 hours as well, so Frank … Continue reading Frank’s perception

(continued on from yesterday) The more he mulled it over, the more Frank did not like the meeting he had with his boss. He vowed to change. He would stop saying Bitch everywhere and he'll go one step further too. He'll get to the root of the problem. His searches weren't proving useful either. It … Continue reading Frank’s determination
Frank’s confusion
Frank never really thought about his use of the word bitch before. He used it so freely, it was second nature to him. He would casually toss it out at work, on the crazy golf course, at the pub, on the 5-a-side pitch, at the club, at the shopping mall, wherever he roamed. It was … Continue reading Frank’s confusion
Sunday TV
Am I allowed to spend my whole Sunday watching TV? Course you are, you're an adult. You have free will. It's not a case of asking permission. It's a matter of - will your demons let you enjoy it?
Moral thought experiments
I find the moral thought experiments annoying. They work your noodle into a knot and don't even provide an answer. It's all up for interpretation. I'd find it much more impressive and helpful for the writer to detail a solution not just present a problem. Anyone could do that.
