The NCT is a serious operation. It is the factory model worked down to a tee. Witnessing the productivity I was grateful for whomever took the time to do all the thinking so that the foot soldiers could do all the doing and the efficiency just flowed from there.

Next steps presents
I think a Christmas present is a good sign of how well they know you. About to finish your PhD in Engineering and they buy you a dummies guide to engineering - you would be wondering whether to feel insulted or if it was a joke. I think the best presents feel like mind reading. … Continue reading Next steps presents
Never asked why
They never asked why. They never sought to understand our qualms and hesitations. They just sought to bulldoze over us by repeatedly ignoring our protests and just shoving their agenda further and further down our throats. Now if they had taken the time to get to know where our reservations came from we would have … Continue reading Never asked why
Social engagements
I posit that there is never a busier time for social engagements than the lead up to Christmas. It's like there's uncertainty that the world will continue in the new year. Letting go of should dos
I think a key part of focus is sensing the 'should do' tasks and letting them go. Reordering the shoe rack never tempts you away from writing but getting rid of the spreading and menacing looking mould, now that could derail your concentration.
Emotional ancestry
I think once you dive into your emotional ancestry and discover all the subtle psychological issues you've been carrying around for years it's easy to slip into a depressed victim state. But in my opinion an empowering reminder is that you have a choice. You can draw a line in the sand and say 'the … Continue reading Emotional ancestry

Somewhere along the line the three dots together in text became a sarcastic comment Therefore I always have to check who's written the message to correctly gauge the tone 'Ok...cool' at the hands of a Gen Z is nasty. They're being sarcastic. They don't think it's cool at all! But 'Ok...cool' from the hands of … Continue reading …
