I think assertiveness is such a cool skill because in the face of infinite possibilities you're not overwhelmed by perfection but strongly asserting a direction.

Anxiety unchecked
Anxiety: "But what if you make a mistake? That alone is cause to be nervous." Therapist: "And what exciting outcomes are possible too?" I could be so good, I win MVP Therapist: "What else?" ... Anxiety unchecked could have you paralyzed with fear. But listing enough dreamlike possibilities (that we recognize may not come true) … Continue reading Anxiety unchecked
Ambitions
Michael Jordan's ambition was to be the best basketball player in the world so he used his creativity, problem solving skills and imagination to answer questions like: How can I remain dominant despite aging? There was never a need to tell Michael to go practice, his motivation was relentless. Whether as Golaf's ambition is simply … Continue reading Ambitions
The outside perspective
The theories in my head are best tested by outside perspectives. Nothing shows up conspiracy better than another witness to the scenario completely baffled by my suggestion.
Local TV segment

Who’s running the show?
My physio tells me my ankle pain is due to my body compensating for a childhood injury to my hip. Jasper’s resistance
I get the impression that Jasper hates being given work. It's a battle trying to give him a task. 'Do I have to?''Can't someone else do it?''Why don't we kick this down the road?'It's clear that Jasper doesn't want to work and I reckon if he keeps up this resistance he'll get exactly what he … Continue reading Jasper’s resistance
Vague v prescriptive
The deliberately vague master was challenged by the seeking to understand student. "Can you be more prescriptive please?" The master looked irked at this request. He would rather stay esoteric and mystical. A few moments later the master singles out the same student in front of the rest of the class for a comment they … Continue reading Vague v prescriptive
