There's a difference between participating and trying to win. It's a different posture and a different mindset. And until you explicitly say our goal is to win, there's a danger people will assume we're here to participate.

Suffering connection
I think most people, when creating the perfect world, would do away with suffering. Less pain please! And I agree, if I had the option, I would banish it to the fourth dimension too. But thinking more on it. Because it's ubiquitous it serves as a great back up for connection. For example, colleagues who have … Continue reading Suffering connection
Compulsive liars
I don't think anyone chooses to be a compulsive liar.I think everyone would like to be honest and truthful. But for the compulsive liar, lying became a necessity to survive. They had to think quickly to avoid a violent parent or to cover up a potential vulnerability.
Your lil voice
I think the majority of people would acknowledge that everyone has their own little voice in their head dictating their actions. And yet, there are those who get confused and even angry when unexpected or illogical behaviour happens. Which leads me to believe that the majority have not fully absorbed that others act in accordance … Continue reading Your lil voice
Shining the light
I think the way to put manners on a manipulator is to expose their duplicitous nature. Shine a light on their texts, record their calls, share their voice notes. The politicians never bother the victims of their scandals after they've gone to the press. Why would they? The victims have shown that the area around … Continue reading Shining the light
Absence of character

Instead … Continue reading Absence of character

The grass was so lush it looked like a thick green carpet! We were all on the pitch … Continue reading The mini stadium
Trusting oneself
I think, to an outsider, trusting oneself looks a lot like aimless wondering and time wasting but it's actually letting your inner wisdom take over. For example the inner critic might say:Why the hell are we spending so much time making fart noises? We have a report to write! But instinct is, in an abstract way, … Continue reading Trusting oneself
Roy Keane for manager
I think it's mad that there is an outcry for Roy Keane to become the next Irish football mens manager. Yes he was a successful player, winning 19 competitions but it's a completely different skill set. Yes he's a very entertaining pundit but coaching a football team is a completely different skillset. From all the … Continue reading Roy Keane for manager
Jericho’s list
Jericho knows the flaws off all around him off by heart and keeps them top of mind. Why? Because if they try to reject him, he will be able to reject them back, harder.
