Brenda has little ambition and she complains a lot. I try to help Brenda see the bright side of life but there’s only so much I can do.
I recommend and give Brenda books, she doesn’t read them. I send her links to helpful videos, she doesn’t watch them.
The wisest man in the world could come along and give her the most specific and relevant advice for Brenda to turn her life around and she would ignore it.
Why?
Because Brenda doesn’t want to be helped and it’s nearly impossible to help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.
Now if Brenda changes her mindset and is willing to turn her life around, she’ll find helpful advice all around her. You get what you focus on and you filter out any contradictory evidence.
The same goes for marketing.
It’s expensive and ultimately futile to try and badger someone into buying from you but it’s cheap and easy if they’re looking for you.
