The whole Robinson family fell in the door absolutely exhausted from their holiday and the travelling it required. Mammy Robinson, in no mood for cooking, delightfully declared that she had ordered pizza and it will arrive at 9pm.
The rest of the family were ecstatic! They loved pizza and they danced around the living room with joy!
But then the pizza didn’t show up on time and with each minute past 9 the family’s disappointment grew.
The expectation created the disappointment.
Before the promise of pizza at 9 the Robinson family would’ve resigned to eating whatever they could find in the house.
Had Mammy Robinson only told them about the pizzas when they arrived she could’ve created maximum surprise but unfortunately the pizza delivery service let her down.
