After staying in a hotel and an AirBNB in the same holiday I noticed a difference in how I left the room.
Leaving the hotel, the large anonymous corporation, I didn’t bother cleaning up after myself and I robbed some of the toiletries.
When departing the AirBNB, someone’s home, I made sure to clean up after myself and leave a good review.
Knowing there was a tangible caring human on the other side made a huge difference in the apathy shown.
