It’s funny how much you take language for granted. Even visiting a foreign country for a weekend that invisible language barrier appears in many a situation.
Well by in large the internet has minimized a lot of human interaction needed but when you don’t have internet connection it’s almost like learning to read and talk again.
Automatically you resort to your charades routine just to ask where the airport is.
I can understand why people go on holidays to the same place every year. It’s familiar and safe. It doesn’t have the inconvenience of expending a lot of energy simply to order food.
But then again each inconvenience is an opportunity for growth.
