The approver didn’t like the first few versions and the writer has become sick of this project so is becoming more inclined to compromise just to get it signed off.
At this point the writer needs to be very clear on who this piece is for.
Are they writing for the target audience or are they writing to be approved?
The risk is that the approver’s taste may not align with the target audience’s.
As long as the writer is clear on who it’s for, it can make their decision a lot easier.
If it’s just for sign off, then swallow pride and make changes.
If it’s for the target audience then the writer should be prepared to go to the mattresses.
