He came back stronger

I have noticed a trend within ‘The Last Dance’* narrative.

Every now and then Michael fails, he has a poor game and the opponents gain the upper hand.

That should be expected he is only human after all.

But what immediately follows every trough is a huge impressive peak.

It’s become a routine.

A former opponent describes in detail Michael’s shortcomings in a past game and then quickly and at this point, inevitably, follows up with:

‘But in the next game he came back stronger and absolutely destroyed us’

I find this an extremely impressive feat.

Each setback is only temporary. He proves it with the very next game.

Each failure brings with it the potential to dig deeper and emerge stronger.

What a man!

*In case you didn’t know, ‘The Last Dance’ is the title of a Netflix documentary about the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan
