In an individual sport, you are solely responsible for your success or failure.
In a team sport the performance responsibility rests with the collective and this can be a blessing or a burden.
In an ideal world the workload will be shared evenly throughout the team, in reality the effort exerted is rarely uniform.
A team may well rely heavily on a few individuals to pick up the slack of weaker players.
My question to you is:
Do you hide?
The amount of hiding places on a tag rugby pitch is infinite.
Hiding could be something as simple as drifting to the wings to avoid the action or leaving the tracking back to someone else or pretending not to hear where the fullback tells you to go so you can run less.
The players who are taking on the extra workload are reaping all the benefits. They are in demand. They’re going to get picked for the national team.
Not those who hide.
