Frank’s sinful pride

In meeting room B, on a Thursday afternoon, Frank finally realised why some consider pride a sin.

This epiphany didn’t come to Frank at the start of the meeting. At the start of the meeting Frank was giving a presentation of which he was immensely proud.

The revelation came in the immediate feedback. As slowly but surely Frank’s superiors tore his precious powerpoint to pieces.

They smoothed out the edges and took away everything Frank adored about the presentation.

Frank sat there, seething. At one point Frank even blurted out angrily:

‘But you all laughed at that joke!’

‘Yes but it’s too risque for the board’ came the response.

If it was up to Frank he wouldn’t have parted with a single syllable.

By the time the meeting was over the presentation bore no resemblance to the version Frank presented.

He had gone from a state of ‘I proudly put my name to this’ to ‘I don’t care anymore, do whatever you want with it’.
