Why do they put up SOLD signs on houses?
I can understand FOR SALE signs, someone has to sell the house, but SOLD signs?
That means that once the deal is done, the real estate company has to spend money printing up a SOLD sign, get an employee to leave work to put it up and come back later to take it down. All after the sale.
So why bother with a SOLD sign at all?
I think it works as an ad. An ad for the real estate agent.
I think they put up SOLD signs to send a message to the surrounding area that we are good at selling houses, think of us when you’re selling your house.
It’s kind of like a tiny billboard on private property promoting the selling prowess of a real estate agent.
