Emerick’s productivity

Emerick’s metaphorical plate was full. His to do list was a mile long and his wits were spread thin.

After stepping back for a moment and analysing his demands, he started working on the Johnson account because that was obviously very important and superseded all other tasks at the moment.

Ding!

That’s the noise Emerick’s laptop makes when it receives an email.

‘Ignore it’ Emerick told himself ‘let’s get the Johnson account completed first’

But despite his already over worked mind, despite his ridiculously long to do list and despite being stationed at stress level midnight Emerick opened the email.

It was obvious that Emerick’s chances of decreasing his workload & stress would be to ignore his emails and concentrate on getting something done.

But he couldn’t help himself.

What if the sender took Emerick’s lack of email response as a sign that he was slacking off?

What if that sender told Emerick’s boss that they suspected Emerick to be lazy and suggest firing Emerick?

This might sound ridiculous out loud and a simple screenshot of Emerick’s to do list would squash these rumours but Emerick hasn’t spotted yet that he is the reason for his own downfall.

Fingers crossed he figures it out soon.
