At the root of all job burnouts and stressed executives I assert there is an insecurity.
Now don’t mistake that statement for assuredness.
I do not confidently assert this.
But beneath all the productivity anxiety and the ‘always on’ mentality there must be some form of fear pulling the strings.
Perhaps the individual inexplicably links job performance with psychological safety.
If they’re good at their job, money keeps coming in and they avoid the spacious but damp alleyway bedroom.
Maybe not completing every single task equates to soul crushing (and most likely all in one’s head) external disappointment.
I’m not sure.
But for the purposes of today’s post, I posit that busyness stems from insecurity.
