What did I do over the weekend?

Charlie: Morning Frank!

Frank: How are ya Charlie?

Charlie: Did you do anything good for the weekend?

Frank: Eh

Frank (internally): What did I do over the weekend?

Charlie: It only just happened, how can you not remember?

I think this memory loss/amnesia of sorts happens when we weren’t fully present.

When time just seemed to slip away from us.

We had no plan for the weekend so we defaulted to TV and social media.

I know that happens to me anyway.

I would be terrified to see the time logs of how I spent my free time.

The absence of a plan or goals means that TV and Social Media, which was only supposed to be a temporary solution, gobbles up the entire weekend.

I think it’s the easy consumption and hypnotic state they create that makes them a black hole for time.
