Social exhaustion

If nothing else COVID has taught me that I have a threshold for socialising.

Who knew conversing with people was so much effort?

You’re unconsciously monitoring yourself, you’re continuously analysing others and you’re consciously trying to think of topics to break the silence.

And it’s not just talking to people either!

I’m pretty sure there’s science behind it but I reckon  we have some lingering evolutionary fear about being watched too.

It was useful in the jungle back in the day but it’s sapping my energy today!

I need to sit alone and out of sight just to recuperate.

So there you go, those are today’s overly dramatic thoughts there for you now!
