Enid gave a NED talk recently (it’s like a TED talk but nuttier) and it went down a storm!
People from all over went out of their way to heap praise on her.
‘Unbelievable talk Enid!’
‘I had no idea you were so wise!’
The NED talk was received so well that Nedia from NED headquarters got in touch to find out if Enid would do another talk next week.
Enid considered it.
She did enjoy doing it and she really enjoyed surprising everyone with her cleverness.
She kept running the complements over and over again in her head.
‘I was so shocked because there I was thinking you were an idiot all this time!’
She cherished these complements.
If another NED talk would get her more complements like these then she’d definitely do it.
Audible gasp!
But what if another NED talk doesn’t get her more complements?
What if it had the opposite effect?
What if it ruined this ‘Enid is intelligent’ image?
Hmmmm
The NED talk was thrilling but Enid definitely didn’t want to be considered a moron again.
