We spend close to two decades trying to become educated enough to get a job.
Then once we get a job we spend the majority of our week working the job and even more time talking about the job.
What’s more, if you’re dissatisfied with your job, you have to spend time working the job, spend additional time talking about the job and even more time working towards getting another job, which hopefully is more satisfactory.
It’s no wonder the most common career advice is ‘do what you love’ / ‘follow your passion’ because you’ll be spending so much time working you might as well enjoy it.
But what about free time?
Where are the courses on what to do with your freedom?
That tiny sliver of the day that is your own.
So much material surrounds getting ahead in the working world and so little on dealing with our freedom it’s no wonder we resort to social media, TV, and household chores.
We weren’t taught to create an adventure out of thin air or use our boredom for fun.
