You didn’t get to pick where you grew up and yet you probably made a best friend in the local area.
Despite years and years of culture deciding what sports would be available in your town, you probably excelled at them anyway.
You didn’t get to pick your family and yet I bet you wouldn’t trade them in.
Or how many couples met by pure chance? A random bunch of innocuous events and decisions that led them to each other.
So when worrying and desperately trying to control the future it might help to examine the past for examples where you found happiness despite not having full control of the situation.
