I don’t think length of time can accurately describe the closeness of a relationship.
I’ve seen friends who have kept it surface level for 20 years and I’ve seen strangers plunge into serious emotional depth within 5 minutes of meeting each other.
I think the amount of years can definitely allude to a familiarity but I think the true measure is vulnerability.
Yes you might share a laugh or two but would you trust them enough to open up?
That’s my assertion for the quality that best defines the strength of a relationship.
