Once someone said to me:
Can I ask you a question? Because I feel it would be great to get the other side’s point of view.
But they never asked me the question!
They proceeded to talk but it never condensed into a single query.
There I sat listening intently.
Waiting.
But by the time they had finished their huge long spiel they seemed to have forgotten to ask a question.
Which leads me to believe that they never intended to ask a question or hear an answer for that matter.
They were using my presence as an excuse to pontificate on a certain topic.
Weird innit?
