I feel like a fraud.
I can’t say with certainty that my way is right.
It could be wrong.
It could be very wrong!
And the points those challengers are making, have merit to them.
They could be right.
How can I go on with this doubt?
How can I look someone in the eye and tell them what to do when I myself doubt that decision?
…
I think it’s no coincidence imposter syndrome occurs in the fields where certainty is not possible.
I doubt there are many physicists with imposter syndrome because the math can be checked. It’s very hard to fool anyone when there are means of verifying the correct answer.
I think imposter syndrome is part and parcel of the subjective world.
When there is no right answer it’s only natural for doubt to creep in.
My advice?
Do something assertive!
Get your mojo back!
