Shattered glass ceiling

Three friends are playing a game for the first time and they all appear to be at the same level.

Each is averaging 50 points per turn.

Then all of a sudden one friend breaks the norm and scores 80 points on their turn.

Once the glass ceiling was shattered and the competitive spirit set in, the friend group seemed to be pushing each other to new personal bests.
