Georgia was really sorry.
Tiernan had clearly put a lot of time and effort into this presentation but she just couldn’t concentrate.
It was simply too boring!
Now let the record show she tried but the monotone voice, her short attention span and the text heavy slides made a powerful recipe for distraction.
If the success of your career/job/interview/message/memo/presentation depends on the audience understanding you then the shortening attention span crisis should be considered every step of the way.
Your plan might save the company from bankruptcy but if the board are too bored listening to it then you might as well be talking to the wall.
