I think in order for the radio show/podcast/TV show to be considered entertainment it needs to add value.
It has to be a level up from the everyday conversations the audience is having.
It needs to provide an angle that the listeners/viewers hadn’t thought of.
Whether that angle is humourous or insightful will depend on the tone of the show.
But if the audience thinks they can do better or if the conversations reflect the interactions they have everyday with other amateurs then they’ll just find it annoying.
