In an attempt to improve my vocabulary I placed a dictionary beside my bed.
I envisaged opening the book every night and joyfully expanding my grasp of the English language at a leisurely non-committal pace.
It’s been a month now and I’ve opened the dictionary maybe twice (if I’m being generous to myself).
At this stage I’m hoping that simply sleeping beside the book is going to make a difference.
To hazard a guess at where I went wrong I think I left myself too much wiggle room, I didn’t hold myself to regular deadlines and I didn’t expend enough effort to break old habits and so we arrive at my measly two new words, which for the life of me I can’t I can’t even remember now.
I hope you are able to learn from my mistakes and use it to improve your new habit attempts.
