Why don’t people take responsibility for their actions?
Why instead do they live in denial, play the victim or lay blame elsewhere?
Why don’t people take ownership of their emotions?
To hazard a guess, with what I know so far, I posit, that it is due to a fragile self identity.
The perception they have of themselves being a good person hangs by a thread.
Therefore to take responsibility for a negative outcome would shatter that self image.
So, they search high and low for others to take the blame and amplify the mistakes of others.
All so they can maintain this idea that they are a good person.
