A counter intuitive quote at first.
You might think surely it should say ‘opportunity’ instead of ‘crisis’ there.
But upon reflection, he’s dead right.
As creatures who respond to pain, the dark times can bring about the best change.
Take Pete for example, he used to drink heavily until one night he fell drunkenly down a flight of stairs and slipped into a coma for two months.
When he awoke he swore off drink and became a great example of healthy discipline.
A lesson some of Pete’s former friends have not learned.
We may dismiss the statement ‘life is precious’ as stating the bleeding obvious until we have a life threatening situation.
Then I think it is important to capitalize on those brief moments of clarity to live a more fulfilled life.
