The vertical video showed a narrow view of the DJ plus others in a night club’s DJ booth.
First question is – why did they make this video?
Second question is – why are there non DJ people in the DJ booth?
And I think the answer to both is – because these people want to be big on the internet.
I imagine it was the DJ who posted this video because they were so proud of how they managed 4 song transitions in 30 seconds and they wanted people on the internet to see how clever they were.
For the non DJ people in the booth, the constant eye contact with the camera made it seem like they wanted the modicum of internet fame that could come from being in this DJ’s video.
If I am correct in my assumptions, those goals are perfectly fine.
By all means have at it!
What I find interesting is that I think the audience in the nightclub suffered because of the desire for the DJ to look good to internet users.
I don’t know about you but if I go to a nightclub, then I go there to dance.
That’s why I figured they made the dance floor enormous and the music so loud.
What I find annoying is when the DJ keeps changing the song.
It means standing around waiting to find out what the next song is before getting into the rhythm.
Or maybe you never get into the flow state because you’re waiting for the DJ to show how clever they are with some kind of transition.
I may be alone in this opinion but when you look around you see these instances of curating life so that your internet avatar can have enough highlights.
The tell tale sign of these types is when something surprisingly good happens and they are devastated that there is no proof of it to post online.
