Attention Hijacking

I need to put on a clothes wash!

I go upstairs to get the dirty clothes and I see the potted plants that clearly need watering.

I go back downstairs to the kitchen to get some water where I see dirty dishes all over the counter top.

As I’m filling the dishwasher I come across a paper cup in a bowl.

I take it to the recycling bin only to notice that the bin is overflowing and needs to be taken out.

Now, while there was no digital devices at play in this little never ending rabbit hole of distraction I dare say they are making such attention hijacking more and more common.
