During the world cup there was so much talk about Lionel Messi being the greatest of all time and pundits and fans would fall over themselves to shower praise on him.
But it’s funny if you watch the full games, you could take long stretches of play and he would look ordinary, and even disinterested.
Highlight reels can be deceiving. They can make you believe every touch is golden and turns into goals.
Now don’t get me wrong, he is very good, but it’s good therapy to avoid the montages and watch full games to see him make mistakes and look human.
