In season 1 of the Gentleman it was easy to support Eddie.
He was trying to protect his family from criminals.
An honourable goal.
While the voyages into the upper echelons of society serves as great escape from the mundanity of lower society.
But then in season 2 Eddie seems to be power hungry, wanting to extend his earnings and his land and the question that harms my liking of the character is – do you not already have enough?
Is a manor with 15,000 acres and millions in the bank not sufficient?
It’s still a great show, very entertaining and probably serves as a cautionary tale now but I wonder does it have less fans rooting for Eddie?
