It's funny when you tell people you're buying a house, the standard reply is - Oh how exciting! And yes excitement is one of the emotions. But I think a more accurate reply would be: 'Oh how devastating, agonizing, nerve-wracking, disappointing, and exciting!'

It's true that it never leaves you. You could spend 6 months anxiously awaiting the keys to your new home and within an hour your anxiety has found something new to cling to. It'll never leave you.
