Games day at the office is great. They set up all sorts of games throughout the office. Like a Wii, Twister, giant Jenga, arcade games and more. So if you’re in charge of your own working schedule and whenever you’re feeling your productivity dipping you can clear your head with something completely different like Mario Kart.
On the surface it seems so simple.
But the trick is being able to enjoy the game whilst your colleagues walk by and throw dirty looks and sling sarcastic comments about your laziness.
It’s a odd situation. In order to make the most out of games day you have to be secure enough in your self and your productivity.
A simple solution could be to draw up a schedule, which management agrees to, so then everyone is given permission to enjoy themselves guilt free.
Otherwise everyone just looks longingly at the games trying to muster the courage to be resented by their peers whilst the games stand there unused, a waste of money and space.
