‘Eggs so fresh that the hens haven’t missed them yet’
I saw this slogan on the back of a van today.
What do you think of it? What do you feel when you hear it?
I think it’s a terrible slogan.
It invokes images of separating children from parents.
I start to feel bad for the hens and it certainly puts me off their eggs.
That may be too sensitive of me but there’s better ways to promote the freshness of your eggs. Here’s three:
‘Eggs that are only a few hours old’
‘This mornings eggs’
‘Eggs that were laid today’
