The worker who meets every deadline doesn’t have to fill out time sheets. The boss doesn’t need to scrutinize his daily tasks because he finishes every project, on time.
The same can’t be said for the worker who hasn’t hit a deadline in years, who has truly no idea when the finish date will be. That worker will be asked sooner or later to fill out time sheets.
If you don’t like your work being scrutinized don’t give them a reason to scrutinize it.
