Immanuel Kant said it was immoral to use people as a means to an end.
I believe that this is true as long as it is disguised as something else: friendship, love etc.
But if the user is up front and honest with the person they’re using I think it removes the immorality.
That way the person being used has the dignity of a choice to enter into this agreement or not.
Then if the person being used ends up getting hurt they have to take responsibility for what they agreed to.
