Doing work in private is nice, it’s only you judging it so you can take it easy on yourself.
Doing work in public is nerve wracking because it leaves you vulnerable to criticism and judgement.
Therefore, knowing the work will be publicized often raises the acceptable standard.
People will often work harder if they know they’re going to be held accountable to it.
