High stress, little reward

Ronaldo gets paid an obscene amount of money because he can deliver at the highest standard. The high levels of stress are worth it because he gets rewarded handsomely in fortune and fame.

It’s the same with financial traders, the riskier the trade the higher the reward.

When this scale is out of balance it’s no fun for anyone. The benefit of high risk is the high reward and if you remove that then you’re sacrificing your peace of mind for nothing.

The opportunity an activity with high stress and little reward offers is a chance for problem solving.

You can attack it from two angles: increase the reward or reduce the stress. Usually the reward is out of your control and the stress is. Therein lies your chance.

I think the best way is to question everything:

Is this process entirely necessary?

Is there any alternative methods to the current one?

Can we improve the current one?

What is the simplest model we need?

The end 😛
