Helter skelter

Back in the 60’s Paul Macartney read a review of a song. The reviewer described the song as just a bunch of shouting and screaming.

Macartney thought this was a good idea for a song. He also listened to the reviewed song and found he could have a better go off it.

And so the song helter skelter was born.

I think it’s a great song, a classic rock and roll song and I love Ringo’s sign off at the end.

The other reason this song is famous is because Charles Manson described it as predicting a race war.

And for the life of me I can’t see how he thinks that. I reckon he was looking for it and interpreted it to fit his agenda but this is the nature of opinions.

One man’s favourite rock song is another man’s race war prediction.
