A small village was looking to increase the community spirit and someone suggested putting football goals in the village green. So the committee did it.
Now there are two football goals in the village green.
Then someone suggested to the committee that they organise a village football tournament. The committee hesitated at this suggestion, it was undeniably a good idea but a good idea with a lot of work attached to it. Certainly more work then the committee was prepared to do.
But instead of telling the truth (that they couldn’t be bothered with the hassle) they said we’ll think about it.
Good ideas are easy and plentiful, finding someone to take responsibility is hard.
