Russell Brand: “You’re like me you give long answers. Which is a control technique when I do it. I’m assuming it’s the same when you do it”
Tony Robbins: “It could be just passion”
This is a very interesting observation and analysis from Russell. An observation I had pondered before and an analysis that I reckon has some validity.
If we take it to be true then you have to wonder why does this person need to control a conversation with long answers? Are they afraid of where the conversation could go? That it could end up in them looking stupid?
Then again, as Tony says, it could be a sign of someone who is passionate. I suspect Tony isn’t willing to admit to this control technique and has instead labeled it as an indicator of passion but then again I could be wrong.
Anywho this is was just a little bit of knowledge that I found interesting and thought it could useful for you the reader.
I got this excerpt from a great interview conducted on Russell’s podcast ‘Under the skin’, it’s well worth a listen
