Frank came in this morning dying to talk about ‘Avengers: End game’ but he’s too late. Everyone else has already moved on, they’re talking about something else.
Frank saw the movie only a week after everyone else and he’s too late to the conversation. A week! That’s how quick the culture is moving, that’s how short attention spans are.
There’s a couple of ways to deal with this accelerated change:
Make sure you’re watching everything everyone else is watching. Keep tabs on who to follow and stay up to date with the most recent posts. Do this at all costs. Don’t fall behind! No matter how much time it requires.
Or:
Become comfortable with not knowing what your peers are talking about.
