Talking to 1 v 20

If you had five minutes to convince an audience to buy something, you would do a lot better with an audience of 1 then 20.

With 1 person you could get to know their needs and desires and then tailor your message specifically to them.

With an audience of 20, each individual has different priorities and preferences, to appeal to all of them you would have to dilute the relatability of your message.

This isn’t the hardest concept to grasp but many marketers don’t use it.

Instead they prefer to aim for the masses.

Why?

Because to aim for the few requires enduring hardship.

Mainly, it takes patience to pursue the long term goal, bravery to make the change and persuasive ability to keep the pressure from above for profits at bay.
